AFES information session

Thurs 1st August, 9.30 - 10:15am (AEST)

Pornography use correlates to a decline in: church attendance, importance placed on faith, prayer frequency, perceived closeness to God, likelihood of parents to pass on religious instruction to children, while increasing one’s doubts about their faith.

About Linden

Husband and dad of 4 children, based in the Hunter Valley / Newcastle region, Linden Simmons founded Outgrow Ministries, attends Maitland Evangelical Church and works part time for AFES at Newcastle Uni. He is a Christian man, who having found freedom from pornography himself, has walked alongside other men to do the same. Currently studying counselling and with a background in science and education, he has researched this topic and brought together key information and approaches to support others to understand the issue at hand and actively fight against the pornified culture we find ourselves in. He uses a biblical, holistic program from The Freedom Fight to lead men in small groups as they outgrow their struggle with porn and unwanted sexual behaviours.
